Euphorbia antisyphilitica

Candelilla is a tough, versatile succulent native to S. New Mexico, W. Texas and into N. Mexico. They can be grown in ground and used as accent plants, subshrubs for foundation plantings or as container specimens. They grow in full sun or dappled light under desert trees or large shrubs. The straight, tight bundles of gray-green, waxy stems can be perfect for narrow planting spaces, even with reflected heat. Candelilla are tolerant of drought conditions and alkaline soils. Spring and summer blooms, near the tips of each stem, are a combo of pink, red, and cream. USDA zone 8-11 

NOTE: Milky sap of Euphorbia sp. can be a skin & eye irritant.

Grows to 1-3 feet high and 2-4 feet wide

DOMESTIC USA SHIPPING

Our horticulture experts will determine if the plant needs to be shipped in soil, based on the particular species, size, and your hardiness zone. In general, agaves, cacti, and succulents will be shipped without soil, called “bare root.” (see below) We will find the best freight carrier to your address. While our top priority is a healthy, happy plant delivery, unfortunately, we have no control over how carriers handle our packages, nor where they are dropped off.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

All plants shipped beyond the USA mainland, including Alaska and Puerto Rico, will be shipped “bare root.” (see below) All plants shipped internationally, including Puerto Rico, require a Phytosanitary Certificate from the US Department of Agriculture.
