Agave pintilla 

Other Names: Maguey pintillo, Pintillo agave

Agave pintilla is typically single-headed, but freqently pups out at the base to form a multi-headed clump. A mature rosette attains a diameter of 12 to 24 in. (30 to 60 cm), with between 60 and 180 leaves. The deep green leaf surfaces have prominent white markings, with most plants displaying short white longitudinal lines or dots on the back of the leaf. Leaf length is from 5 to 8 in. (13 to 22 cm), and the leaf width is from 2 to 3in. (5.8 to 8 cm). Mature plants bloom with tall, unbranched stalk with white flowers. The leaves are edged with white, and they have a short, sharp black terminal spine, which can be multi-pronged. (Not collected - nursery propagated via seed or divisions.)

DOMESTIC USA SHIPPING

Our horticulture experts will determine if the plant needs to be shipped in soil, based on the particular species, size, and your hardiness zone. In general, agaves, cacti, and succulents will be shipped without soil, called “bare root.” (see below) We will find the best freight carrier to your address. While our top priority is a healthy, happy plant delivery, unfortunately, we have no control over how carriers handle our packages, nor where they are dropped off.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

All plants shipped beyond the USA mainland, including Alaska and Puerto Rico, will be shipped “bare root.” (see below) All plants shipped internationally, including Puerto Rico, require a Phytosanitary Certificate from the US Department of Agriculture.
